I didn't want to spend a lot because I know inevitably she is going to break it. So far we have had no problems. She likes it and I even find myself using it from time to time. All in all I think it was a good value for the money.

You should STOP the DVD before turning off the power. The only control physically on the player is PAUSE/PLAY so you have to use the remote to STOP. This is very inconvenient. The player works great otherwise.
